The 130-room Hollywood Renaissance Hotel has opened at 1160 N. Vermont Ave.
Formerly called the Ramada Inn-Hollywood, the 1964-vintage building has undergone a more than $1-million renovation, including new air conditioning, carpeting, furnishings and wallpaper, according to Wayne Woodson, sales and marketing director.
The hotel is owned by Chaim Drizin, president of the Vermont Group, and is a member of Consort Hotels, a worldwide hotel system.
