Events in the news this week.
A public hearing on the proposed Eastern Transportation Corridor, which would connect the Riverside and Santa Ana freeways through Orange County’s foothills, will be held Thursday in Santa Ana City Hall. The meeting will focus on a study to determine the best route for the road, which would be 12 to 23 miles long (depending on the location) and would include four to 10 general travel lanes and two mass transit/car-pool lanes.
