Local News in Brief : Crews Clean Up Spill at Chatsworth Plant
Los Angeles County Health Department crews on Saturday cleaned up ammonia that spilled from a leaking pipe at a Chatsworth manufacturing plant, the Los Angeles City Fire Department reported.
No evacuation was ordered as a result of the spill at the Chef America plant on Canoga Avenue, Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said.
The spill was reported about 9:30 a.m. and was cleaned up in about an hour, he said.
