Nala Barry Labs, a Fullerton pet-care product manufacturer, has agreed to pay $3,520 to the Environmental Protection Agency to settle charges that the firm was selling unregistered pet pesticides. Nala Barry owner Robert Baxter said his company, which did not admit to wrongdoing in agreeing to the civil penalty, incorrectly labeled the products. He said the products, which included flea-treatment sprays, are not pesticides, and the labeling has been changed. Baxter said he was prohibited from selling the pet products from August, 1987, until January, when he reached a consent agreement with the EPA. The agreement became final this spring.
