Local News in Brief : Freeway Stretch to Close

The Terminal Island Freeway (Route 47) between Willow Street and Anaheim Street in Carson will be closed tonight while it is used for a movie, Caltrans announced. The northbound side will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. and the southbound side will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. Both sides will reopen at 5 a.m. Thursday.
The same stretch of the route was also closed Tuesday night to allow a movie production company to film during a time that will be least disruptive to motorists, Caltrans said.
