Having just removed the umpteenth advertisement from my car windshield, I have a question for all those sellers of discount mattresses, super perms, 976 calls and what not: Just where do you think the great majority of unwanted ads end up? In the trash can down the block? In people’s pockets until they return home? Or closer to where they were found (and about 4 feet lower)?
Let us face it: To place hundreds of ads on the windshields of parked cars is to litter a neighborhood with hundreds of pieces of paper. There is no reason why the city and the public should be much more tolerant of the former than of the latter.
