Dino Ciccarelli of the Minnesota North Stars pleaded not guilty in Toronto to a charge of assaulting an opponent during a game.
The allegation stems from a Jan. 6 game between the North Stars and Maple Leafs in which Toronto defenseman Luke Richardson was struck in the head by Ciccarelli. Richardson was not injured in the incident.
