American Semiconductor Equipment Technologies has named James F. Marshall to the newly created position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Marshall, 38, will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Woodland Hills-based maker of semiconductor equipment. Previously, Marshall was director of operations at Applied Materials in Santa Clara.
