All Fired Up Over Guns

The key line in Dean’s story on “ordinary” citizens who carry concealed weapons belongs to City Atty. Hahn--most such people are probably “going to end up getting shot with their own gun.”
We need some factual data on how many people get shot with their own guns, or have their guns stolen, or get jumped in a dark parking lot despite carrying a gun. Just how much protection is a concealed weapon, anyway? Dean’s account of the woman who scared off a kid on a bicycle by waving her revolver is not reassuring.
