The City Council voted to partially reinstate funding for the city’s Youth Employment Program, which fell victim to the budget ax last year.
The program, which served as a referral service for local employers and teen-agers looking for work, was allocated $1,500 for the rest of the fiscal year and $3,000 for next year.
The council dropped the 20-year-old, $7,000 program last year during budget deliberations.
