Seniors Tennis Event Draws Top Area Players

Several Valley-area players are among the top-seeded entrants in their respective divisions for the 54th Southern California Senior Sectional Invitational Tennis Championships, scheduled for April 22-May 1 at the Racquet Centre in Universal City.

Shannon Gordon of Van Nuys (women 30 and over), Tom Leonard of Glendale (men, 35), Gene Powell of Northridge (men, 55) and Eleanor Harbula of Sylmar (women, 65) all will compete in the event, the largest for seniors in the country.
