Slain Man’s Family Sues Contra Leaders

MIAMI — The family of engineer Benjamin Linder, who was killed by U.S.-backed Contra rebels last year in Nicaragua, today filed a $50-million damage suit against top rebel leaders.
In a statement, the family accused the Contras of having “brutally executed” Linder on April 28, 1987, in northern Nicaragua, where he was helping build a hydroelectric plant.
