Bank of America announced that it plans to convert transactional processing at virtually all its Europe and Middle East units to an automated processing center in Bromley, England, making it the first major bank to concentrate regional processing at a central European site. The San Francisco-based bank said the conversion will take 18 months to complete and will increase B of A’s ability to serve the European and Middle East markets.
