Local News in Brief : Fountain Valley : Student Government Day Planned Thursday

More than two dozen high school seniors from Fountain Valley and Los Amigos high schools will get a taste of how the city is run on Thursday during annual Student Government Day.
Following a welcome at 8:30 a.m., the youths will tour the Fountain Valley Police Department, then attend a mock staff meeting of city department administrators. The teen-agers will be assigned to visit various city workers to learn about city government careers.
The city of Fountain Valley and the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring the event.
