A senior accomplice of fugitive Philippine coup leader Col. Gregorio (Gringo) Honasan escaped custody while on leave for a dental appointment and is still being sought, a military spokesman said. Lt. Col. Eduardo Martillano, who, along with Honasan and 41 other officers, was charged with sedition following a bloody coup attempt last Aug. 28 that nearly toppled the government of President Corazon Aquino, disappeared along with a military escort after seeing his dentist Friday.
