National Education Corp. of Irvine reported that it achieved record first-quarter results, with net income increasing 110%, to $6.4 million from $3 million in the year-earlier quarter. Revenues for the quarter increased to $93.2 million, a 13% jump from the $82.7 million recorded for the comparable period last year. National Education, the world’s largest training company, is involved in industry training, technical-vocational schools, independent study and educational publishing.
