Killed 2,000 Iranian Troops, Rebels Report

BAGHDAD, Iraq — An Iranian opposition group said Wednesday that its rebel fighters killed 2,000 Iranian troops and wounded 1,500 in a major cross-border offensive earlier this week.
The Baghdad-based Moujahedeen said in a statement that its fighters also seized more than $100 million worth of weapons and equipment and took 508 Iranian prisoners. It said 30 of its men were killed and 92 were wounded in the operation.
