Ramona
Fire swept through an auto shop early Wednesday, causing an estimated $250,000 in damages, authorities said.
The cause of the 1 a.m. blaze at Ramona Lube and Auto Care, 1332 D St., was considered suspicious and was being investigated by the Sheriff’s Department arson team, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
Firefighters from Ramona, San Diego and San Pasqual battled the blaze, which engulfed the two-story structure, the spokesman said.
The spokesman said damage was estimated at $150,000 to the structure and $100,000 to its contents, which included three automobiles. There were no injuries.
The business was opened less than four months ago by owner Maurice Eunice, the spokesman said.
