Local News in Brief : La Palma : Jewelry Store Robbery Nets $250,000 in Loot
Brandishing handguns, a chic couple robbed a La Palma jewelry store Monday, making off with $250,000 worth of cash and jewelry, police said.
The man and a woman walked in the front door a little after 2 p.m., pulled out the guns, took the jewels and the cash and fled in an unknown direction, police said.
They were described as in their 20s, black, thin and well dressed. The man was about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and the woman was 5 feet, 3 inches.
The case is under investigation.
