3 Young Sisters Drown as Van Plunges into Bay

POINT CLEAR, Ala. — Three little sisters drowned Wednesday when the van driven by their mother ran off a dead-end road into a secluded bay in a wildlife refuge, state troopers said. They said the mother escaped by crawling out of the vehicle, but was in shock and unable to tell rescuers about the girls.
