The body of a man who had been shot repeatedly was discovered Saturday in the parking lot of the Three D Bed & Bath linen factory, 18012 S. Mitchell St., Irvine.
Police identified the victim as George Peter Yudzevich. They gave no age or hometown, but he is thought to be from out of state.
Yudzevich’s body was found behind a parked car at about 1:45 a.m. by employees of the factory, said Irvine Police Sgt. Al Murray.
Police declined to describe the car, but a Three D employee said it was a late model, black Lincoln and that the top of the trunk was stained with blood.
By 9:15 a.m., police had removed the body and car. A team of nine Explorer Scouts searched the area for a weapon or other evidence, but found nothing, police said.
