Lamoureux, Pagett Named Co-MVPs of Empire League
Center Dre Lamoureux and point guard Brett Pagett, both of Los Alamitos High School, were named co-most valuable players of the Empire League in a vote by the league’s boys’ basketball coaches.
Lamoureux averaged 21 points and 13.5 rebounds a game and Pagett averaged 7.8 assists in helping Los Alamitos to the league championship and a 21-7 record. Los Alamitos Coach Steve Brooks was named the league’s coach of the year.
