Former French skiing hero Jean-Claude Killy rejoined the committee organizing the 1992 Winter Olympics at Albertville, France, a year after his resignation caused a public furor.
Killy’s decision to return was announced by Prime Minister Jacques Chirac, who is campaigning for the presidency of France and had urged a reconciliation between Killy and the organization, known as COJO. Killy resigned from COJO after less than a month of service a year ago, because of a dispute over the direction of the committee.
