Meese Assistant to Head Justice Dept. Civil Division

WASHINGTON — Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III announced Thursday that Assistant Atty. Gen. John Bolton will become the new head of the Justice Department’s civil division. Bolton, currently the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs, will succeed Richard Willard, who left in February to enter private practice.
