Walt Disney Co. has filed a copyright and trademark infringement suit accusing more than 15 outlets in New York of unauthorized distribution and sale of toy telephones bearing a likeness of Mickey Mouse. The Burbank-based firm’s action, filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, asks the court to award unspecified damages and to enjoin the distributors and stores from importing and selling the telephones.
