Sales of Existing Homes in County Show Gain, Bucking State Trend
Sales of existing homes in Orange County rose 14.8% in January compared to December, while sales in most of California’s other metropolitan areas fell, the California Assn. of Realtors reported Wednesday.
The median price of a resale home in Orange County, however, dropped 3.5% during the month, to $173,333.
That was down from $179,651 in December, according to the association. Still, January’s median price of a home was up 19.9% from a year ago.
January sales increased 18.4% compared to the year-earlier month.
