The outlook for U.S. farm exports continues to improve as the Soviet Union begins a new round of corn purchases. Overall, the Agriculture Department says, the value of U.S. agricultural exports will rise to a four-year high of $32.5 billion in the 1988 fiscal year that began Oct. 1. Spurred by recent heavy sales of grain to the Soviet Union and China, partly under a special export subsidy program, the new 1988 forecast is up $500 million from $32 billion indicated on Dec. 17.
