The Australian Broadcasting Corp. is being advised by the Australian government to seek out commercial sponsors for its sports, entertainment and religious programming. The government said in a report it would continue to pay for news and current affairs, drama, and programs on the arts, but that alternative corporate financing--or commercials--would have to pay for the rest.
