National Forest : Chantry Flat Road Closed

Santa Anita Canyon Road, which provides access to Chantry Flat Campground north of Sierra Madre, will be closed until April 1 while the county Public Works Department repairs a 20-foot-long portion of a retaining wall that collapsed near the popular hiking spot.
Jean Granucci, spokeswoman for the department, said the road was undermined by the collapse of the retaining wall. The cause of the collapse has not been determined.
