Top-Rated Bruins Host to Gym Meet

The No. 1-ranked UCLA women’s gymnastics team will take on No. 5 Arizona State, No. 13 Oregon State, Cal State Fullerton and New Mexico State in the UCLA/Los Angeles Times Gymnastics Invitational tonight at 7:30 at Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins return five All-Americans from the team that finished third in the nation last season. Included in that group is Kim Hamilton, the 1987 NCAA champion in the floor exercise, and Tanya Service, a member of the U.S. national team and the school record-holder in the all-around.

Others on the Bruin team are Gigi Zosa, Jill Andrews and Amy Lucena.
