UK/LA
A benefit rock concert that was to take place Feb. 29 at Universal Amphitheatre as part of the UK/LA Festival has been canceled due to conflicts with artists’ recording and tour schedules, according to Angus Mackay, public affairs officer at the British consulate. No acts had been announced prior to the cancellation. The concert, which may be rescheduled, was to benefit medical services for children in Southern California and Great Britain. Mackay added that the March 2 Gene Loves Jezebel show and April 2 Echo & the Bunnymen concert at Universal Amphitheatre will be presented as UK/LA events.
