THE PREPS : Boys’ Basketball : MacArthur Leads Orange Lutheran
Geoff MacArthur scored 37 points to lead Orange Lutheran past Whittier Christian, 76-74, Tuesday night in an Olympic League boys’ basketball game at Orange Lutheran.
The victory moves the Lancers (12-6, 7-2 in league) into a first-place tie with Brethren.
Erik Martin scored 31 points for Whittier Christian (13-6, 6-2), which is in second place.
Brethren 64, Capistrano Valley Christian 50--Chris Phillips scored 17 points for Capistrano Valley Christian (9-9, 4-5). Brethren is 7-2 in league.
In the Express League:
Claremont 68, Wilmington 59--Tom Patraw had 28 points and 14 rebounds as Claremont (13-5, 10-1) clinched a tie for the league title at the Huntington Valley Boys’ Club.
