Local News in Brief : Man Killed as Car Hits Truck on Wet Street
A North Hollywood man was killed Tuesday when he lost control of his car on a rain-slick street in Sun Valley and crashed into a trash truck, Los Angeles police said.
Jesus Fonseca Guzman, 30, was killed in the 5:50 a.m. accident on Tuxford Street near Bradley Avenue, police said. The driver of the truck, Eduardo Guzman, 34, of Del Gardens, complained of minor injuries, police said. He was not hospitalized. The two men were not related.
Police said Jesus Guzman was driving west on Tuxford when he lost control of his car, which crossed the dividing line and hit the oncoming trash truck.
