Local News in Brief : La Habra : Bank Robber Nets $800 at Far West S
A man with long blond hair held up a bank in the 1700 block of West Whittier Boulevard Monday and escaped with more than $800, police said.
The robbery, at Far West Savings & Loan, occurred shortly after 11 a.m., when the man walked up to a teller and produced a note saying he had a gun and wanted money, La Habra Police Lt. Wayne Lowery said.
No gun was seen and the robber, described as in his mid-20s, ran off, Lowery said. No injuries were reported, he said.
