Local News in Brief : Moratorium Extended

An emergency moratorium on development along the mile-long stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in Lomita has been extended for nine months.
The City Council’s action will extend a 45-day moratorium first approved Dec. 7. The consulting firm of Mark Briggs and Associates has been hired to study how to control commercial growth along the thoroughfare. The firm’s report is scheduled for completion in May.
