Snowball Fight Turns Malicious

NEW YORK — A snowball fight between dozens of black party goers and Hasidic students in Brooklyn mushroomed into a bottle-tossing, rock-throwing melee on Martin Luther King Day and Jewish leaders claimed it was a racially motivated attack.
There were no reports of serious injuries. Police said they questioned four black youths but made no arrests. As many as 200 members of the local Hasidic community in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn took to the streets and marched to the 71st Police Precinct to denounce the 2 a.m. clash, shouting “We want justice.”
