Local News in Brief : Tustin : 3 Stores Destroyed by Fire in Pizza Parlor
A two-alarm fire destroyed three unoccupied stores Sunday, authorities said.
The fire started at Tastee Pizza & Deli, located in the 15000 block of Tustin Village Way, and raged through an attic shared by the adjacent businesses, fire officials said.
Orange County Fire Department dispatcher Bill Walker said fire crews feared that strong winds from Sunday’s storm would carry flames to nearby structures, but were eventually able to contain the fire to the three storefronts.
No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported at 12:21 p.m. and took 27 firefighters about 24 minutes to control.
The building had been vacated recently, and authorities said they were unable to determine its owner. The storefronts were all unoccupied.
