Local News in Brief : Woman Killed After Car Hits Parked Truck

A woman died early Sunday after her car strayed across a Canoga Park street and crashed into a parked garbage truck, Los Angeles police reported.
Roxie Lee York, 35, of Chatsworth died at Northridge Hospital at 7 a.m., nearly seven hours after the accident on Fallbrook Avenue near Runnymede Street. Police said York was heading northbound when her car crossed a double yellow line and went into an oncoming traffic lane, then crashed into the truck.
