Anthony Perry has written a fine article on Casa de Amparo (“Little Holiday Cheer at Shelter for Children,” Dec. 28). However, he describes it as the only refuge in North County.
I think he overlooked St. Clare’s Home in Escondido, which also serves battered wives and children. It is also in North County.
