Santa Ana Man, 25, Killed by Intruders
A Santa Ana man was shot to death Sunday morning when two men barged into his home demanding money and drugs, police said.
Martin Navarro Morales, 25, was at home in the 600 block of East Walnut Street with his brother and two friends shortly after midnight when two unidentified men arrived, Police Lt. David Salazar said.
When the men demanded money and narcotics, Morales threw a bottle at one of them and began fighting with him, Salazar said. The second intruder shot Morales in the chest with a small-caliber handgun, and then fled with his accomplice, Salazar said.
Morales died at the scene.
Salazar said Morales’ brother and friends told police they did not know the robbers. Police have no suspects.
