The Australian Bicentenary will begin New Year’s Day with a live TV broadcast that will be aired around the world and shown here in the U.S. over the Arts & Entertainment cable-TV network. The four-hour telecast will include messages from heads of governments, a fireworks display and a musical finale from Canberra. Among those scheduled to host the telecast are Paul Hogan, Olivia Newton-John, Graham Kennedy, Clive James, Ray Martin, Jana Wendt, Derryn Hinch, Daryl Somers and Mike Walsch.
