An electrical fire caused $100,000 in damage to a state-licensed board and care home for six developmentally disabled children, a county Fire Department spokesman said Friday.
One firefighter was injured when he fell through a floor at home on Trabuco Circle, according to Patti Range, a Fire Department spokeswoman. The blaze, which began at 11:04 a.m. Thursday, was controlled by 20 firefighters in 17 minutes.
The six children, who range in age from 9 to 13, were at school when the fire occurred. They are now living with the owners of the home at their residence in Rancho California near Hemet.
