A Korean Air DC-10 jet carrying Mayumi Hachiya, 28, the woman linked to the Nov. 29 disappearance of a KAL airliner, left Bahrain for Seoul, witnesses said. Also believed to be aboard was the body of the woman’s elderly male companion, a government envoy sent to Bahrain from Seoul and a team of Korean interrogators. The airliner with 115 aboard vanished near Burma; a U.S. reconnaissance plane last week reported spotting debris in the Andaman Sea off Burma. The couple had been aboard but had left the plane. The man died after the pair swallowed cyanide as they were about to be questioned in Bahrain.
