Heat, Cooling Devices to Have Energy Labels

WASHINGTON — Heat pumps, pulse combustion furnaces and central air conditioners will have to carry labels disclosing their energy efficiency under a new Federal Trade Commission regulation. The new labels will begin appearing in a few months, the commission said last week.
