Defending Champions Share Team Golf Lead

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Defending champions Scott Hoch and Gary Hallberg tied for the first-round lead Thursday in the Chrysler PGA Team championship with Bob Tway and Mike Hulbert, who finished second a year ago.
Hoch birdied the first five holes as he and Hallberg shot a 61 at Wellington Club, one of three courses used in the first three rounds of the $600,000 best-ball tournament. Par at all three courses is 72.
Tway had eight birdies as he and Hulbert shot their 61 at Greenview Cove.
