WASHINGTON — President Reagan will appear on the four major television networks Thursday night in a pre-summit interview by network anchormen.
Spokesmen for ABC, CBS and NBC said the interview, expected to run 30 minutes, will be carried in its entirety at 5 p.m. PST, with excerpts as warranted on the regular evening news shows.
Bill Headline, Washington bureau chief for Cable News Network, said excerpts will be carried at 3:30 p.m. and all or part of the rest of the interview will be carried between 5 and 6 p.m.
NBC carried an interview by anchorman Tom Brokaw with Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev on Monday night. The Reagan-Gorbachev summit opens here next week.
