Monterey Park : Agreement With Chamber
The City Council has approved an agreement to pay the Monterey Park Chamber of Commerce $30,000 for work through June of next year.
The new agreement is the first since 1985, when the city paid the chamber $25,000 to welcome new businesses and residents and $10,000 to solicit support for a street improvement project.
The new agreement calls for the chamber to promote retail business, publish and distribute information about municipal code requirements, develop volunteer programs to improve the city’s appearance, maintain directories and calendars, publicize the city and promote the city bus service.
