Van Nuys Man Held in Death of Clerk
Los Angeles police arrested a 25-year-old Van Nuys man Sunday on suspicion of fatally stabbing the night clerk of a Sepulveda Boulevard motel.
Witnesses said they saw Francisco Sanchez, a resident of the Chateau Motel at 6719 Sepulveda Blvd., attack the night clerk about 5 a.m. Sunday in the motel’s office, Detective Pat Anguiano said. The clerk, whose identity was being withheld pending notification of his relatives, was pronounced dead on arrival at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, Anguiano said.
The motive for the stabbing has not been established, Anguiano said.
