Jim Nelson has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of Karl Storz Endoscopy-America, a medical company headquartered in Los Angeles. Nelson previously was the western regional manager for the medical division of Olympus Corp. Norman Silbertrust was named executive vice president-strategic planning and legal regulatory affairs. He has served as executive vice president since 1981. Roger Zickfeld was named vice president-finance and administration. Zickfeld previously was a consulting manager with Peat Marwick Main & Co.
