“Now it (the NRA) opposes legislation to ban the sale of plastic handguns that could evade metal detectors and trigger a rash of carnage in the skies.” Peirce probably knows, and you surely do, that there is no such thing as a plastic handgun that could get past metal detectors. When a gun gets on a plane, it’s because there was lax (or no) airport security.
